February Amazon Skincare/Beauty Finds

You can’t deny it. Amazon has everything and anything you can think of to buy these days. And I LOVE IT! It used to be a HUGE NO NO to buy quality hair and skincare products on Amazon. But now many companies have their own storefronts on Amazon so you know what you are getting is the real deal!

Each month I am going to feature some of my favorite beauty and skincare finds from Amazon and share the deals with you! So hold onto your seats! If you are anything like me your shopping cart will be full by the end of this post!

First things first! I want to share about this tool! Last month I had an irritant reaction to a product on my skin which resulted in me waking up with half of my face swollen. This Gua Sha tool made from stainless steel was heaven sent! I used it with a soothing cucumber mask and kept the tool cool by keeping it in the fridge. It felt so good on my poor swollen face!

I recently discovered this new brand I have really been liking called boscia. The winters here in Utah are BRUTAL! Did you know the air during our winters here can be as dry as the Sahara Desert?! It’s crucial in these dry cold months to make sure your skin is well hydrated. This Cactus Water moisturizer is a game changer! And I love how it smells too! It’s not your typical creamy moisturizer, but more of a gel like consistency. My skin soaks it right up! If you have oily skin this gel based moisturizer is great on it’s own but if you have dry or combination skin like me I still layer a small amount of my creamy day time moisturizer over it! Or another great option is to layer a few drops of a beauty oil on afterwards!

Both of my kids have KP (keratosis pilaris) pretty bad on the backs of their upper arms. KP is a skin condition in which the hair follicles get clogged with a build up of keratin. The keratin blocks the super fine hairs growing in the area from coming through the skin. This results in small white (slightly red) bumps all over the skin. It can appear on the upper arms, thighs and buttocks, and even sometimes on the jawline of the face. Before this tool I was treating theirs with my home care microdermabrasion machine and at home chemical peel treatments. With this tool and this scrub they can do it themselves 2-3 times a week in the shower! Both of these products are excellent to treat “strawberry legs” as well!

Honestly my whole family needs a good lip balm during the winter. I always have one in my purse these days. These ones from Juice Beautya are both tinted and clear (so the boys don’t care if they use them, and the hubby doesn’t mind kissing me because it doesn’t have sparkles!) and it has a reef safe SPF. (I do a separate post another time on why I support reef safe products.) The hard part is keeping my son from licking it all off of his lips because they taste so good!

Like I mentioned earlier our winters here in Utah ARE DRY! With all the constant hand washing I do each day (not including the days that I am working) my poor hands get beat up and develop pretty bad rashes. My husband brought home this hand cream from the barber’s after his haircut one day. I think I may have used more of it then he has! What I love about this hand cream is you skin doesn’t feel greasy afterwards!
